Death of man found at rest stop under investigation (St. Joseph (Mo.) News-Press)
"PLATTE CITY, Mo. — Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers continue to investigate the death of a man found Monday at the Interstate 29 rest stop north of Platte City. The victim is a 39-year-old white male from Springfield, Mo., said a communicator for Troop A of the Highway Patrol. Passers-by discovered a body at about 8 p.m. Monday at the northbound rest stop. Upon their arrival, officers found a deceased white male with an apparent gunshot wound lying on the floor in the men’s restroom, the Highway Patrol reported."
